Who we are
Bluegum Laptop & Computer Repairs is a trading name of Roys Pty Ltd, ABN {{TODO_ABN}}. In this policy, "we" means Roys Pty Ltd. Contact us on {{BLUEGUM_PHONE}} or at {{TODO_EMAIL}}.
What we collect
Your name, phone number, email, suburb and a description of your device problem when you contact us. If you hand over a device, we record its make, model and condition. We also record calls to our number, and we tell you at the start of the call.
Call recording notice
Calls to our business number may be recorded for quality, training and to keep an accurate record of what was agreed. If you do not want a call recorded, tell us at the start of the call, or use the form on this website instead.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, carry out and invoice your repair, and handle any warranty claim. We may keep a record of past jobs so that we can help you if something goes wrong later.
Your devices and data
Your files, photos and passwords are private. We access only what a repair needs, copy data only with your consent, do not keep your files after the job, and delete any backup we make shortly after the job is closed. If a device needs a password to be tested, we use it only for the job. We tell you straight away if we lose, or believe someone has gained access to, your data.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We use service providers to run our website, phone system and job records, and they handle information only to provide those services to us. We disclose information if the law requires it.
Website tracking
We may use analytics to count visits and measure how people find us. If you arrive from an advertisement, we may record an advertising click identifier so we can tell which advertisements lead to enquiries. It does not identify you personally.
Keeping information safe
We keep your information in systems protected by access controls, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the job, our records and our legal duties.
Access and corrections
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. If you have a complaint, contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
